Hi, I'm Blume.
Digital artist. Oregon Coast weirdo. Full-time lemon enthusiast.🍋
There's a very good chance I'm eating a lemon while you read this. Sliced up on a plate, like an orange. My family thinks it's a personality flaw. I think it's a lifestyle.
I mention this not because it's important, but because it's true - and I want you to know from the very first paragraph what kind of shop you're standing in. This is a place run by a real person who makes real art, and who has a deep love of citrus.
How it all began
How did I get here? Well, that's a talk about the birds and the bees we'll have when you get older.
I've been making art since I was a kid. The scribbly-on-every-surface kind of kid. The one who drew on her homework, the walls, and probably a couch or two along the way. My mom saved a startling amount of it.
Somewhere between then and now, "making art" turned from a habit into a whole life. I've built brands, run boutiques, filled sketchbooks, and spent an embarrassing number of hours perfecting a color palette that only I would notice.
Digital art became my medium because it lets me chase every wild idea I have - surreal landscapes, monsters with feelings, women in impossible haute couture, cinematic little worlds that feel like a movie you almost saw once - without ever running out of paint.
why here?
I started Yellow Print Shop because I kept making things that didn't fit anywhere else.
I have other businesses (a boutique, a studio for women artists, a whole ecosystem of things called "Yellow" something) - but none of them were quite the right home for the art itself. The weird stuff. The bold stuff. The prints I actually wanted on my own walls.
So I made a shop for it. A place where the art gets to be the loudest thing in the room. Where every print has a personality. Where I don't have to explain why the woman in the illustration has three eyes or why the landscape is slightly wrong in a way you can't quite name.
The what
Every print in this shop is original. I make it, I own it, I love it enough to put it on my own walls first. I create everything from a small studio on the Oregon Coast - where the light is soft, the air smells like salt, and the tourists mostly are gone from Autumn through Spring, leaving me to this beautiful paradise all alone - and my prints are made-to-order by trusted print partners with facilities around the world, so wherever you are, your art gets to you faster (and greener - less warehousing, less waste).
come along for the journey
If your walls could use a little strangeness, a lot of color, or just something you won't find anywhere else - you're in the right place.
Come poke around. Fall in love with something. Take it home.
And if you see me on Instagram snacking on a lemon, now you'll know why.
💛 Blume
